California Governor accused of helping Activision Blizzard

Activision Blizzard is embroiled in yet another controversy as California State lawyers are fired and resign over what they claim is interference from governor Gavin Newsom’s office during the Department of Fair Employment and Housing’s harassment lawsuit against the publisher.

Check out today’s Weekend Roundup to see just how the scales of justice might be tipped in this ongoing trash fire saga.

In other news Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 might be too fancy for Switch, Kingdom Hearts 4 is underway, Cyberpunk 2077 devs have more DLC in the works, and Sony is investing over a billion dollars in Epic Games.

This week’s 5-Second review uses Brian’s critical might to deliver a verdict and this week’s Coming Soon section has some weird stuff in it… in a good way… probably.

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for watching!

  1. I might be one of the few people that is not looking forward to breath of the wild 2 because I disliked the first game. It doesn't look they are fixing many of the issues with the first one. Still looks empty, the art style is still crap, and I hate links design and clothing. I also didn't like the last ending either they did everything about like and his iconic equipment dirty. It did the same thunder stealing shit that windwaker did and I hate it. I don't know about anyone else but adventure games are supposed to give you this since of power f4om your journey and both those games go gotcha link's a bitch and either have win taken from you or you have to require so much help that your sense of strength gained and process is nothing. I haven't seen weapon breaking yet, but I give it time. I also hope this one has music because that was half the fun, listening to this amazing and grand adventure music. Although breath of the wild dropped the ball there and I don't trust them to fix what people are willing to buy without extra work. It just sucks as a Nintendo fan boy, because I acknowledge that they have just gotten lazy and greedy. If fans can make a better looking game than what Nintendo does that's where I draw the problem. They also shut down fan products because they can't handle people making their games better than them. Showing us what we can have vs what we get. It isn't about the money because they also go after it even its free. Why? Well that's easy, because then people will realize they got lazy and aren't trying anymore. They're just pumping out games instead of pushing to make them better like they used to. I mean proof is in the hardware itself. People just give it a pass because it's Nintendo, and they have really cool and unique IP's. With a maket flooded with fps and battle royals they are one of the few people to make something different. It seem to me that they just take the easy way out because people will buy it. As for anyone who disagrees with me look at the Zelda Wii U tech demo, and then look at breath of the wild. Now tell me which looks better, and more fun. If you said breath of the wild your fucking lying. It makes breath of the wild look like trash because it is. Heck breath of the wild looked better in the early game play than what we got. They toned it down to fit their underpowered hardware which they refuse to upgrade like their network services. Same goes with majoras mask look at the unreal trailer and look at the 3ds remake given to us. Hell not even that, look at spyro and crash like what the hell. Why didn't any of the Nintendo properties get that treatment. Well it's plain to see that they just don't try and money hungry. Dont get me wrong there is worse but that shouldn't be good justification. Hopefully stuff gets better but I won't hold my breath because that seems to be the trend with a lot of companies these days.

  2. and don't forget a bout the store that will be in the new king dome harts. it was in the last one how i no becouse i have the game. what i mean a store it's for digitle goods you can buy with real money. blah blah blah. it's just tiling me give us more money for usless stuff with no value. the devils we no sadly.

  3. OMG, Sony is investing in Epic to build out the Metaverse?!?!~ If there's one thing I can't wait for more than the sweet release of death, it's the metaverse!

  4. watched Hoeg Law's vid about this and it really seems like whipper was shitting on another branch of the Cali Gov't which caused Newsom's office to look into it and Whipper got butthurt having her boss's boss's boss ask for updates and then quit/resigned/asked to resign.

  5. What????!!!! Gavin Newsome might be a horribly corrupt politician who is either getting paid by Activision to interfere or is buddy buddy with someone on the board. I'm speechless, and flabbergasted. Wow its almost like you guys had a recall election because the guy is so scummy, but he won anyway in the state with one of the most corrupt and easily manipulatable voting systems in the country. Weird how that works.
